Fairway Training offer to visit your practice and talk to staff about their Pension Scheme.

This is a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation based on an Overview of the NHS Pension Scheme from the viewpoint of Scheme members. The accent is on the range of benefits provided by the Scheme. In addition to this, ways to improve benefits will be explored with help provided in understanding the various options which the Scheme offers. The presentation will examine possible future Scheme direction in the light of the recent Government initiative including the Green Paper 'Simplicity, Security and Choice - Working and Saving for Retirement'.

Attendees will receive a copy of the presentation slides and will be encouraged to ask questions throughout the session. Although a 'formal' presentation, it will nevertheless be delivered in a relaxed manner and will endeavour to ensure that staff begin to give more serious consideration to their own pension scheme and the opportunities it provides.

The presentation will be 2 hours (approx) in duration with ample time afterwards for questions from individuals on a one-to-one basis.

• When can I retire?
• What will my retirement pension be?
• Can I increase my pension benefits?
• How will I be affected by Government Proposals?

Cost

The cost for the presentation will be based on approximate numbers attending.

Practices may combine to reduce the overall cost.

This presentation has been held in a number of areas as part of protected learning time and is a useful vehicle to obtain drug company sponsorship to further reduce costs.
